I love dogs. I remembered how much I like having a dog over the past couple weeks while taking care of Chad and Hillery's dog named Cara. Isn't this a cute face?
There's just nothing like a cuddly dog.
We're having more adventures around town now that we're getting more settled here. We have visited Atlantic Station, a fun shopping center in downtown Atlanta.
I LOVE H&M!!!
We also attended an outdoor concert in Woodstock. They had an Elvis, a barbershop quartet, and a great band that played all kinds of music. But I must tell you that the crowd went wild during the band's rendition of Sweet Home Alabama. I thought this was Georgia? Well, it's the South I guess.
We worked on a fun project as well. We decided to replace the side mirrors of the car, as one had been broken off. Originally from the video we watched on Youtube, it looked simple. But when we went to examine the broken mirror, we realized we would have to take off the whole car door panel. So we watched another Youtube video, ordered some black replacement mirrors, and went to work.
Voila!!!
And last, but not least, we celebrated our 4th of July by attending the Cumming, GA fireworks and parade at the County Fairgrounds. I have never seen so many trains in all my life. There were probably between 15-20 steam engines that rolled their way through, their whistles screaming as all those in attendance scrambled to put in their complimentary ear plugs. It wasn't the Provo parade for sure (no marching bands, pretty floats, big balloon characters, or highway patrol motorcycles) but it was fun to be a part of the community and get candy thrown at us.
This is just a sampling of the many trains.
Waiting for the fireworks with great anticipation!
We watched more than took pictures, so this was one of the better ones.

Fun! Looks like there are some cute places around your town to visit! And great job with the side mirror. Sometimes those projects end up being a lot harder than expected! haha
