(Here I am taking a little break from the craziness to watch That Darn Cat)
...to an apartment in Atlanta. (pictures coming soon)
We loved our home, the family we rented from, the area, and the church family we had there in the Woodstock Ward. But we are excited to be closer to Matt's work and the hospitals. Matt was driving over an hour each way to work each day, and I was driving down to the ATL perimeter twice a week for hospital clinicals.
Moving is an adventure. One that I have not experienced too many times in my life since my parents built the house they continue to live in when I was about 3 years old. We were able to pack up all our belongings in a U-Haul truck, and had some help from the members of our ward in moving to our new place. Moving in entailed lots of cleaning, getting a few things repaired, and finding new spots for everything. A few of our first days here the air conditioning was not working, so I enjoyed having access to the pool in the complex.
We attended our new ward today, which meets right by the Atlanta Temple. It's pretty cool to walk out of church, turn around, and see the temple. Everyone in the ward was very welcoming and we are excited to get involved. I am already slotted to substitute playing the organ next Sunday. I am so glad that I have a break from school so I can get everything settled in our new place.
We were able to celebrate our niece's 14th birthday this past week. Here are some pictures of us celebrating Cassidy's big day.
Once we get things a little more organized, I'll post some pictures of our home. It's almost picture ready. We are also really excited for my brother Jonathan to come out and visit us later this week.
