"For the Health of it"

My life is school, studying, clinical, more studying, and MORE STUDYING!!!

Seriously though, nursing school is very demanding.  But I love it.  This past week the KSU health fair needed volunteers to do a bunch of different things, so I volunteered for two hours taking blood pressure and heart rates for students who came.  I wore my uniform and name tag.  I felt very official.  It is pretty crazy how much I felt people trust me just because I was taking their blood pressure.  They looked at me to know if it was good, bad, ok, what it meant, etc.  And it was just blood pressure!!  But I think of when I go to the doctor, I completely trust and rely on the people who take care of me or ask me questions.  It is a responsibility that I need to grow into :)  Anyway, the health fair was fun and I got this cool t-shirt for volunteering.  This is a picture of the back.  The front says "wellness" written like a Braves shirt.

I am so blessed to be in this program.  So much to learn, and so many wonderful people to learn with.
