Goodwill hunting...

Yes, I had an excellent time at Goodwill hunting for some sweaters for our ward's progressive dinner.  There was an ugly sweater contest so I worked hard to find some good ones. 

I'm proud to say....

I won!!!  And Matt looked very dashing with his slick, parted hair and baggy sweater. 

We started at the church with appetizers, and then went to one house for salads and another house for dinner.  Then we returned to the church for ice cream sundaes.  It was fun to get to know people we didn't know as well.   

This past week we also made a visit to downtown Atlanta for an NFL football game.  The Falcons took on the Baltimore Ravens at the Georgia Dome.  It was the first time I had ever been in a covered arena for a football game.  We got Falcons hats with our tickets. 

The NFL crowd is a little different than the NCAA crowd.  The typical fans were men in their 40s-50s, drinking beer with their buddies.  But our section was a bit more tame because we sat near everyone who had purchased groupon tickets like we did.  We really enjoyed the game.
